Instead of searching, you can start from a post. Paste the link to a public LinkedIn post and NudgeLink looks at the people who commented on it or reacted to it, scores each one against your campaign's targeting, and puts the good fits in your suggestions. They are reviewed, accepted and approved like any other lead.
1. Paste the link
Open Leads → Find leads and fill in Or find people from a LinkedIn post.
Paste the link you get from Copy link to post on LinkedIn. This also works
with the post's urn:li:activity:… address. A link that is not a post is
rejected before anything runs.
A post link replaces the search for that run: with a link, the people on the post are the candidates and the search fields are not used. A LinkedIn account must be connected, because the post is read through it.
2. What is scored
- Commenters first, then people who reacted. One entry per person; someone who did both counts as a commenter.
- People only. Companies that engaged are skipped, and so are duplicates.
- At most 200 people per run. A very popular post is read from the top, so you will not see everyone on it.
- Each person is scored against your targeting, the same way as in a normal search. LinkedIn gives NudgeLink their headline for this, so the score rests on the headline.
- Commenters rank above people who reacted. Writing a comment is a stronger signal than a like, so a commenter's intent score starts at 80 and a reactor's at 60. It is a floor for the intent score and never replaces the fit score.
The text of the post and of the comments is never passed to the model that writes your messages.
3. What it costs
The same as a normal run: 3 credits for each profile that is scored. You see the worst-case amount before you start, and the run needs at least that balance. People who fall under your quality threshold are scored, and so they are charged, but they do not show up as suggestions.
4. What the message says
If the lead came from a post, the opening mentions it once, honestly: that they commented on or reacted to a LinkedIn post by that author. It does not quote the comment or invent a conversation.
5. Who is not contacted
- Anyone matching your Don't target exclusions.
- Anyone who has already answered you, rejected you, or is in a conversation with you under another lead row. NudgeLink checks this before every send. See Reply classification.
As with every lead, nothing is sent until you approve it, unless you have turned on auto-send.
Pick the right post
The people on the post decide the quality of the list. Choose a post whose audience matches your targeting: your customers' own posts, an industry leader's post about the problem you solve, or a competitor's announcement. A viral post on a general topic brings many people who do not fit and will cost credits to score. If a run gives few suggestions, try a post where more of the commenters hold the job titles in your campaign.
